Computer Science: This scientific field is concerned with the structures that store data and enable processing on it to achieve specific goals. The foundation of Computer Science lies in logic and mathematics. These two disciplines, with their vast and deep-rooted structures, form the defining environment of Computer Science.
Software Engineering: Software engineering involves the use of engineering principles to obtain economical software that works quickly, efficiently, and securely on real machines. A software project includes project management, designers, analysts-programmers, quality control experts, and those responsible for testing the implemented software. One of the core course contents of the Computer Engineering department is to bring engineering candidates to a level where they can work on a software project.
System Design: Before starting to program a system, it is crucial to think through, document, and approve the tasks to be done. This process occurs after the System Analysis and System Design stages. A good computer engineer must be well-versed in all these processes and stages.
